Building specialisation strategies on local participation and heritage resources

Opis projekta
Evaluation research proposal for the STEPS pilot project, a part of the Joint Programme of the Council of Europe and the European Union, "Building specialisation strategies on local participation and heritage resources", which was launched on 1 December 2016 and which aims at strengthening community cohesion, promoting trust, dialogue and mutual understanding across diverse societies through participatory mapping and mobilisation of cultural heritage resources in municipalities members of the of Intercultural Cities network. STEPS pilot project will be implemented in Lisbon (Portugal) and Rijeka (Croatia) during 2017 and 2018. This Evaluation research proposal will be carried out in Rijeka (Croatia), by the research team based at the University of Rijeka, and in coordination with the ICC team, University of Lisbon, and local agents (ECOC team, the City of Rijeka and others). The research team will focus on evaluating the implementation of STEPS pilot project goals: a) Strengthening competence of local teams participating in the planned education activities. b) Strengthening capacity of local communities to develop social and cultural activities. c) Strengthening cohesion within the community.
